illustrate
The LM2747 is a high speed synchronous buck regulator controller with a feedback voltage accuracy of ± 1%. It provides a simple down-conversion output voltage as low as 0.6V. Although the control section of the IC is rated from 3 to 6V, the driver section is designed to accept high input rails up to 14V. The use of adaptive, non-overlapping MOSFET gate drivers helps avoid potential pass-through issues while maintaining high efficiency. ICs are designed as a more cost-effective option with only N-channel MOSFETs driving high-side and low-side positions. Sensing provides a simple, adjustable current to limit the voltage drop of the low-side switch.
The LM2747 features a fixed-frequency voltage-mode PWM control architecture, which is regulated from 50 kHz to 1 MHz with an external resistor. In addition, the LM2747 allows synchronization of external clock signals in the switching frequency range of 250 kHz to 1 MHz. This wide range of switching frequencies gives flexibility in power supply design with better trade-offs between component size, cost, and efficiency.
Features include load capability start-up for prebiased outputs, soft-start, input undervoltage lockout (UVLO), and power good (based on undervoltage and overvoltage detection). In addition, the IC's shutdown pin can be used to provide a start-up delay, and a soft-start pin can be used to implement accurate tracking with external rail sequencing purposes.
