The LM2750 is a regulated switching capacitance multiplication that produces a low-noise output voltage. The 5.0V output voltage option (LM2750 - 5.0) provides up to 120mA of output current over the 2.9V to 5.6V input range and output current of 40 mA as low as 2.7V. An adjustable output voltage option (LM2750 - ADJ) with similar output current capability is also available. The LM2750 is housed in a 10-pin LLP package in the U.S. and has excellent thermal performance to maintain overheated parts in almost all rated operating conditions

A perfect fit for space-constrained, battery-powered applications, the LM2750 requires only three external components: an input capacitor, an output capacitor, and a fly capacitor. Small, inexpensive ceramic capacitors are recommended. These capacitors, along with the LM2750 with a fixed switching frequency of 1.7MHz, produce low output voltage ripple and require a low-noise power supply system beneficial. Preconditioning minimizes input current ripple and input noise is reduced to negligible levels.

Tightly controlled soft-start function limits partially activated inrush current. Completely shut off the load disconnected from the input. The output current limit and thermal shutdown circuitry protect the LM2750 and connected devices when the output is shorted or excessively loaded.
