illustrate
The LM2750 is a regulated switching capacitive multiplier that produces a low noise output voltage. The 5.0 V output voltage option (LM2750 - 5.0) provides up to 120 mA of output current over the 2.9V to 5.6V input range, and up to 40 mA of output current when the input voltage is as low as 2.7 V. Voltage options with adjustable outputs with similar output current capability are also available (LM2750 - ADJ). The LM2750 is a 10-pin LLP nationwide and has an excellent thermal performance package that prevents almost all overheating parts from being rated for operating conditions
Perfect for space-constrained battery-powered applications, the LM2750 requires only 3 external components: an input capacitor, an output capacitor, and a fly capacitor. Small, inexpensive ceramic capacitors are recommended. These capacitors, combined with the LM2750 fixed switching frequency of 1.7MHz, produce low output voltage ripple, which is beneficial for low-noise power systems that require it. Preconditioning minimizes input current ripple, reducing input noise to negligible levels.
A tightly controlled soft-start feature limits partially activated inrush current. Shutdown completely disconnects the input load. Output current limit and thermal shutdown protection circuitry both the LM2750 and connected devices in the event of a short circuit in the output or excessive current load.
