The LM2756 is a highly integrated, switching capacitive, multi-display LED driver that can drive up to 8 LEDs in parallel with a total output current of 180mA. The regulated internal current source provides excellent current and brightness matching for all LEDs.
It is divided into three groups of independently controlled LEDs to drive current absorption. The primary group (Group A) can be configured to drive the main phone display for four, five, or six LEDs, while the second group (Group B), can be configured to one, two, or three LED drivers to drive the secondary display, keyboard, and/or LED indicators. An additional driver, the D1C, provides additional reference indicator illumination capabilities.
The device offers excellent efficiency, inductor-free use, and charge pumping in gain or transfer mode at 3/2. Select the appropriate maintenance current regulation gain, based on the forward voltage of the LED, so that the efficiency is maximized in the input voltage range.
The LM2756 is available in a low-profile micro SMD package with a micro bump of 20 mm in the country.
