The LM2758 is an integrated, low-noise, high-current switching capacitor DC/DC converter with regulated current absorption. The unit can drive loads from a single lithium-ion battery with a current of 700 mA. Achieve maximum efficiency Actively select the basis for the positive voltage and current requirements of the LED for the appropriate gain over the input voltage range.

An external low-power resistor sets the current required for the indicator, flare and flash modes. To protect the device and the flash LED, the internal timeout circuit takes turns shutting down the LM2758 in the event of an incorrect long-term flash pattern. The internal soft-start circuit limits the amount of inrush current at start-up.
