The LM2759 is an integrated low noise DC/DC converter with regulated current source high current switched capacitors. The device requires only four small ceramic capacitors making the overall solution area more than 22 mm or less 2 and height less than 1 mm. The LM2759 drives loads with 1A capability from a single Li-ion battery. Achieving the highest efficiency within the input voltage range, actively selecting the right gain is the basis for the LED's forward voltage and current requirements.

LED currents can be programmed up to 1A through an I 2 C-compatible interface, plus 8 selectable flash timeout durations. The high-current flash LEDs can be driven either in high-power flash mode or low-power flashlight mode. The strobe pin allows switching the module's signal from the camera flash with a flash. The TX input pin limits the flash LED current torch at an RF power amplifier pulse current level, reducing the high load on the battery. Internal soft-start circuitry limits the amount of inrush current at startup.

The LM2759 is available in a small 12-pin thermally enhanced LLP package.
