The LM2759 is an integrated low-noise, high-current regulated current source switching capacitive DC/DC converter. The device required only four small ceramic capacitors and the overall solution area was more than 22 mm 2 Height less than 1 mm. The LM2759 is capable of driving loads from a single cell to a 1A lithium-ion battery. Based on the requirements of the forward voltage and current of the LED, the appropriate gain is actively selected to achieve the highest efficiency in the input voltage range.

The programmed LED current can pass through I, up to 1A 2 C-compatible interface, and 8 selectable flash timeout durations. It can drive high-current flash LEDs in high-power flash mode or low-power torch mode. The gating pin allows the flash to switch the signal of the camera module through a flash. The TX input pin limits the flash LED current to an RF PA pulse torch at the current level to reduce the high load on the battery. The internal soft-start circuit limits the amount of inrush current during start-up.

The LM2759 is available in a small, 12-pin thermally enhanced LLP package.
