LM2841 and LM2842 PWM DC/DC buck (step-down) regulators. Wide input voltage range from 4.5V - 42V for a wide range of power unregulated sources such as air conditioning and other applications. They feature an internal switch (85% typical) with a low R DSON (0.9Ω typical) for maximum efficiency. The operating frequency is fixed at 550 kHz (X version) and 1.25 MHz (Y version), allowing the use of small external components while still being able to have low output voltage ripple. Soft start can be achieved using an external RC circuit that allows the user to adjust the soft start time of a specific application.

The LM2842 is optimized for load currents up to 600 mA, while the LM2841 is optimized for load currents up to 300 mA. Both have a nominal feedback voltage of 0.765V.

Other features include: thermal shutdown, undervoltage lockout V, and gate-driven undervoltage lockout. The LM2841 and LM2842 are available in a low-profile TSOT-6L package.
