The LM2936 ultra-low quiescent current regulator features low dropout voltage in standby mode and low current. With less than 15μA at 100μA of load quiescent current, the LM2936 is ideal for automotive and other battery-powered systems. The LM2936 retains features that are common to low-dropout regulators including a low-pass dropout PNP device, short-circuit protection, reverse battery protection, and thermal shutdown all of them. The LM2936 has a limit of 40V maximum operating voltage over an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C, ± 3% output over the entire output voltage tolerance current, input voltage and temperature range. The LM2936 is available in TO-92, SO-8, and SOT-23 surface-mount packages, and TO-252 surface-mount power packages.
