The LM2941 positive voltage regulation function function has an output current of 1A with a typical voltage difference of 0.5V and a maximum 1V capability over the entire temperature range. In addition, quiescent current reduction circuits have been included, which reduce the current at the ground pin when the difference between the input and output voltages exceeds about 3V. With an output current of 1A and an input of 5V, the differential output quiescent current is differential, so it is only 30 mA. Also designed for vehicle applications, the LM2941 and all regulated circuits protect batteries with reverse mounting or two battery jumps.
