The LM3000 is a dual output synchronous buck controller designed to convert input voltages ranging from 3.3V to 18.5V down to 0.6V. The two outputs of the switch are performed at a constant programmable output frequency of 200 kHz to 1.5 MHz with a second 180 degrees from the first stage to reduce input filter requirements. The switching frequency is also locked to an external phase. CLKOUT provides an external clock with a master clock so that a second chip can run away from 90 degrees of phase with the main chip. Bottom-FET sensing in analog current-mode control provides the need for fast transient response and current limiting without the need for an external current-sense resistor or RC network. Independent enable, soft-start, and trace pins allow each independent control output to provide maximum flexibility in power sequencing for design systems.

The LM3000 boasts a full range of protection features including input undervoltage lockout (UVLO), power good (PGOOD) for each output, overvoltage pry bar and hiccup in short-circuit event mode signals.
