LM3150 SIMPLE SWITCHER ® The Controller, Power-Down Controller provides an output current of 12A for a typical application in an easy-to-use and simplified step. From 6V to 42V, the LM3150 features adjustable output voltages to operate over an input voltage range as low as 0.6V. The switching frequency is adjustable up to 1 MHz, and the synchronous architecture provides an efficient design. The LM3150 controller features a proprietary analog ripple mode (ERM) control that allows for the use of low ESR output capacitors, reducing overall solution size and constant on-time (COT) architecture for output voltage ripple. The constant on-time (COT) regulated architecture enables fast transient response without loop compensation, reducing the number of external components and reducing design complexity.
Fault protection features such as thermal shutdown, undervoltage lockout, overvoltage protection, short-circuit protection, current limiting, and output voltage pre-bias start allow for a safe, reliable, and powerful solution.
LM3150 SIMPLE SWITCHER ® The concept offers an easy-to-use complete design using a minimum number of external components and WEBENCH for national semiconductors ® Online design tools. WEBENCH ® Design support is provided at every step of the design process, including features such as selection of a new MOSFET, electrical simulation, thermal simulation, and calculation of external components for prototyping, boards.
