LM3150 SIMPLE SWITCHER ® The controller, the brownout controller provides a typical application with an output current of 12A easy to use and simplify in one step. 6V - 42V, the LM3150 features adjustable output voltage operation from an input voltage range as low as 0.6V. The switching frequency is adjustable up to 1 MHz, and the synchronous architecture provides an efficient design. The LM3150 controller uses a proprietary analog ripple mode (ERM) control that allows the use of low ESR output capacitors, reducing the overall solution size and constant on-time (COT) architecture of output voltage ripple. 's constant on-time (COT) regulatory architecture enables fast transient response without loop compensation, reducing external component count and design complexity.
Fault protection features such as thermal shutdown, undervoltage lockout, overvoltage protection, short-circuit protection, current limit, and output voltage prebias start-up allow for a safe, reliable, and powerful solution.
LM3150 SIMPLE SWITCHER ® The concept provides an easy-to-use complete design using a minimum number of external components and the WEBENCH of National Semiconductor ® Online design tools. WEBENCH ® Design support is provided at every step of the design process, including features such as the selection of a new MOSFET, electrical simulation, thermal simulation, and for prototyping, calculation of external components of the board.
