SIMPLE SWITCHER for LM3151/2/3 ® The Controller, Power-Down Controller provides an output current of 12A for a typical application in an easy-to-use and simplified step. Operating with input voltages ranging from 6V - 42V, the LM3151/2/3 functions a fixed output voltage of 3.3V and functions for switching frequencies of 250 kHz, 500 kHz and 750 kHz. Synchronous architecture provides efficient design. The LM3151/2/3 controllers feature proprietary analog ripple mode (ERM) control that allows for the use of low ESR output capacitors, reducing overall solution size and constant on-time (COT) architecture for output voltage ripple. The constant on-time (COT) regulated architecture enables fast transient response without loop compensation, reducing the number of external components and reducing design complexity.
Fault protection features such as thermal shutdown, undervoltage lockout, overvoltage protection, short-circuit protection, current limiting, and output voltage pre-bias start allow for a safe, reliable, and powerful solution.
