“ LM3205 is a DC-DC converter optimized for RF power amplifiers (PAs) powered from single-cell lithium-ion batteries, but they may be used in many other applications. It is available from a variable output voltage from 2.7V to 5.5V from 0.8V (typical) to 3.6V typical. Use V_CONAnalog control power level and efficiency RF PA input, output voltage settings.

“ LM3205 Mobile phones and similar RF PA applications offer superior performance. Fixed frequency PWM operation minimizes RF interference. The shutdown function shuts down the device and reduces power consumption to 0.01μA (typical).

The high switching frequency (MHz) allows the use of tiny surface mount components. Only three small external surface mount components, an inductor and two ceramic capacitors are required.
