“ LM3205 is a DC-DC converter optimized for RF power amplifiers (PAs) powered from a single lithium-ion battery, but they may be used in many other applications. It has a variable input voltage from 2.7V to 5.5V and a variable output voltage from 0.8V (typical) to 3.6V (typical). The input, output voltage settings of the RF PA are controlled using V CON analog control.

“ LM3205 Mobile phones and similar RF PA applications offer superior performance. Fixed-frequency PWM operating mode minimizes RF interference. The shutdown function shuts down the device, reducing power consumption to 0.01μA (typical).

The high switching frequency (MHz) allows for the use of tiny surface-mount components. Only three small external surface mount elements, an inductor and two ceramic capacitors are required.
