The LM3224 is a step-up DC/DC converter with an internal switch of 0.15 (typ), 2.45A (typ) and pin-selectable operating frequency. The LM3224's ability to convert multiple outputs from 3.3V to 8V, -8V and 23V is an ideal part of a biased TFT display. , with high current switching, it is also ideal for driving high current white LED flash applications. The LM3224 can be operated at switching frequencies of 615kHz and 1.25MHz with easy screening and low noise. The external compensation pin allows the user to set the frequency compensation, which makes it possible to use the flexibility of the output of small, low ESR ceramic capacitors. The external soft-start pin allows the user to control the inrush current during start-up. The LM3224 is a low-profile 8-lead MSOP package.
