The LM3402/02HV is a monolithic switch design that provides constant current, high power LED regulators. Ideal for automotive, industrial, and general lighting applications, they contain a current-limited high-side N-channel MOSFET switch with a step-down (buck) regulator of 735 mA (typical). Coupling with a time hysteresis control with an external resistor allows the converter output voltage to be adjusted as needed to provide a constant current series and series – different numbers and types of LED arrays connected in parallel, LEDs are controlled by pulse width modulation (PWM dimming), broken/open LED protection, low power shutdown and thermal shutdown complete feature set.
