The LM3404/04HV is a monolithic switch design that provides constant current, high power LED regulators. Ideal for automotive, industrial, and general lighting applications, they contain a 1.5A current-limited high-side N-channel MOSFET switched buck (buck) regulator (typical). The hysteresis controlled by time and external resistance allows the converter output voltage to be adjusted as needed to provide a constant current series and different numbers and types of LED arrays connected in series and parallel. LEDs are dimmed via pulse width modulation (PWM), broken/open LED protection, low-power shutdown, and thermal shutdown to complete the function settings.
