The LM3406/06HV is a monolithic switch design that provides constant current, high power LED regulators. Ideal for automotive, industrial, and general lighting applications, they contain a 2.0A current-limited high-side N-channel MOSFET switching buck (buck) regulator (typical). With true average current control and an external current sense resistor on time, the converter output voltage is adjusted as needed to provide a constant current series and array of different numbers and types of LEDs connected in series and parallel. LED dimming via Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) is by using a specialized logic pin input voltage or PWM from a power supply. The product's feature set is low-power shutdown and thermal shutdown protection.
