Integrated with a 1A power switch, the LM3405 is a current-mode controlled switching buck regulator designed to be a simple, efficient solution for driving high-power LEDs. With 0.205V reference voltage feedback control to minimize power consumption, external resistors set current to drive the LEDs for various needs. The switching frequency is set internally to 1.6MHz, allowing for the use of small surface mount inductors and capacitors. The LM3405 employs current mode control and the use of internal compensation and predictable, providing high-performance regulation relief in a wide range of operating conditions.
