The LM3409/09HV is a step-down (step-down) current regulator for P-channel MOSFET (PFET) controllers. They offer a wide input voltage range, high-side differential low-voltage adjustable threshold current sensing, fast output enable/disable function, and a thermally enhanced eMSOP-10 package. These features combine to make it an ideal choice for the LM3409/09HV, which is easily achievable as a constant current source for driving LEDs at forward currents up to 5A. The LM3409/09Q/09HV/09QHV is regulated with constant shutdown time (COFT) control without the need for an external control loop to compensate for the need for an accurate constant current. Analog and PWM dimming are easy to implement and achieve results with excellent contrast ranges in high linear dimming. Programmable UVLO, low-power shutdown, and thermal shutdown complete feature set.
