The LM3409/09HV is a step-down current regulator (buck) for P-channel MOSFET (PFET) controllers. They offer an eMSOP-10 package with wide input voltage range, high margin adjustable threshold voltage, low current detection, fast output enable/disable capability, and enhanced thermal dissipation. These features combine to make the LM3409/09HV an easy-to-achieve ideal for driving LED forward currents up to 5A using a constant current source. The LM3409/09Q/09HV/09QHV uses constant off-time control (COFT) for an accurate constant current regulation without the need for external control loop compensation. Analog and PWM dimming, easy to implement and results, with excellent achievable contrast in a highly linear dimming range. Complete feature set with programmable undervoltage lockout, low-power shutdown, and thermal shutdown.
