The LM3409/09HV is a step-down current regulator (buck) for P-channel MOSFET (PFET) controllers. They offer a wide input voltage range, high side differential adjustable threshold voltage, low current detection, fast output enable/disable functionality, and enhanced thermal dissipation in an eMSOP-10 package. These features combine to make the LM3409/09HV an easy to achieve ideal for driving LEDs up to 5A forward current using a constant current source. The LM3409/09Q/09HV/09QHV uses constant shutdown time (COFT) to control precise constant current regulation without the need for external control loop compensation. Analog and PWM dimming, easy to implement and results, with excellent achievable contrast over a highly linear dimming range. Programmable undervoltage lockout, low-power shutdown, and thermal shutdown for a complete feature set.
