The LM3409/09HV is a step-down current regulator (buck) for P-channel MOSFET (PFET) controllers. They offer a wide input voltage range, high side difference, adjustable threshold voltage, low current detection, fast output enable/disable functionality, and enhanced thermal dissipation in an eMSOP-10 package. These features combine to make the LM3409/09HV an easy-to-achieve ideal for driving LED forward currents up to 5A using a constant current source. The LM3409/09Q/09HV/09QHV uses constant off-time (COFT) control for precise constant current regulation without the need for external control loop compensation. Analog and PWM dimming, easy to implement and results, with excellent achievable contrast in a highly linear dimming range.
