illustrate
The LM3424 is a versatile LED driver controller for high-voltage N-channel MOSFETs. It can be easily configured in buck, boost, buck-boost and SEPIC topologies. In addition, the LM3424 includes temperature management for a thermal foldback function LED. This flexibility, along with a 75V rated input voltage, makes the LM3424 ideal for the large family of lighting LED applications.
The adjustable high-side current detection voltage allows the tightly regulated LED current to be as efficient as possible. The LM3424 uses standard peak current mode control to provide intrinsic input voltage feedforward compensation for better noise immunity. It is designed to provide a programmable breakback breakpoint and ramp-accurate thermal foldback. In addition, a 2.45V reference is provided.
The LM3424 includes a high-voltage start-up regulator that exceeds a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 75V. The internal PWM controller is designed for adjustable switching frequency up to 2.0 MHz, and external synchronization is possible. The controller is capable of high-speed PWM dimming and analog dimming. Other features include ramp compensation, soft start, overvoltage and undervoltage lockout, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, thermal shutdown.
LM3424Q is an automotive-grade product and is AEC-Q100 standard Level 1 qualified.
