illustrate
The LM3424 is a versatile high voltage N-channel MOSFET LED driver controller. It can be easily configured in buck, boost, buck-boost and SEPIC topologies. In addition, the LM3424 includes a thermal foldback function for LED temperature management. This flexibility, along with a 75V rated input voltage, makes the LM3424 ideal for lighting the large family of LED applications.
Adjustable high-side current sense voltage allows tensely regulated LED current to be as efficient as possible. The LM3424 uses standard peak current mode control to provide inherent input voltage feed-forward compensation for better noise immunity. It is designed to provide a programmable foldback breakpoint and slope accurate thermal foldback. In addition, a 2.45V reference is provided.
The LM3424 includes a high voltage start-up regulator over a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 75V. An internal PWM controller is designed for external synchronization with adjustable switching frequencies up to 2.0 MHz is possible. The controller is capable of high-speed PWM dimming and analog dimming. Other features include ramp compensation, soft-start, overvoltage and undervoltage lockout, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, and thermal shutdown.
LM3424Q is an automotive grade product and is AEC - Q100 standard Class 1 qualified.
