illustrate
The LM3429 is a versatile LED driver controller for high-voltage N-channel MOSFETs. It can be easily configured in buck, boost, buck-boost and SEPIC topologies. This flexibility, along with a 75V rated input voltage, makes the LM3429 illuminated LEDs ideal for the application of LEDs in a very diverse family.
The adjustable high-side current detection voltage allows the tightly regulated LED current to be as efficient as possible. The LM3429 features Predictive Shutdown Time (Professional) control, a combination of peak current mode control and predictive shutdown timer. This control approach simplifies loop compensation design while providing inherent input voltage feedforward compensation.
The LM3429 includes a high-voltage start-up regulator that exceeds a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 75V. The design of the internal PWM controller with adjustable switching frequency up to 2.0 MHz makes for a compact solution. Other features include dimming for simulated PWM dimming, overvoltage protection, undervoltage lockout, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, and thermal shutdown.
The LM3429 comes in an EP 14-pin package in a low-profile, high-efficiency thermal TSSOP package.
LM3429Q1 is an automotive-grade product and is AEC-Q100 standard Level 1 qualified
