The LM3430 is a high-voltage, low-side N-channel MOSFET controller. Ideal for use in boost regulators, the LM3430 can be driven on LCD panels, such as laptops, LED backlights. It includes all the features needed to implement a single-ended primary topology. The output voltage adjustment is based on current mode control, which simplifies the loop compensation design while providing an inherent input voltage feedforward. The LM3430 includes a start-up regulator that operates up to 40V over a wide input range of 6V. PWM controllers are designed for high-speed capabilities, including oscillator frequency ranges up to 2 MHz and total propagation delays of less than 100 milliseconds. Other features include an error amplifier, high-precision reference, line undervoltage lockout, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, ramp compensation, soft start, external synchronization capability, and thermal shutdown. The LM3430 is available in an LLP-12 package.
