The LM3464/64A is a 4-channel high-voltage current regulator that provides a simple solution for LED lighting applications. The LM3464/64A offers an external N-channel MOSFET and sense resistor combined with four independent current regulation channels and engineering to give accurate drive current for each LED string. In addition, the Dynamic Margin Control (DHC) output can be connected to an external power supply to regulate the LED supply voltage to the lowest level sufficient to maintain all regulatory string currents for optimal overall benefit.

Digital PWM or analog voltage signals can be used to control the duty cycle of all channels. When using analog control, the dimming frequency can be programmed via an external capacitor. A minimum duty cycle control is provided in the analog dimming thermal feedback configuration as a condition.

Protection features include input voltage undervoltage lockout, LED open/short circuit, and over-temperature fault signals with the system controller.
