illustrate
The LM3478 is a versatile low-side N-channel MOSFET switching regulator controller. It is suitable for the use of a low-side MOSFET, such as boost, flyback, SEPIC, etc., etc., in addition, the LM3478 can operate at very high switching frequencies to reduce the overall solution size in the topology. The LM3478 switches at any value between 100kHz and 1MHz and can be adjusted using an external resistor. Current-mode control provides superior bandwidth and transient response, except for cycle-by-cycle current limiting. The output current can be programmed with a single external resistor.
The LM3478 has built-in features such as thermal shutdown, short-circuit protection, overvoltage protection, and other power-down shutdown modes that reduce the total supply current by 5μA and allow power sequencing. Internal soft-start limits inrush current at startup.
