The LM3481 is a versatile low-side N-FET switching regulator high-performance controller. It is suitable for low-side FETs such as boost, flyback, SEPIC, etc., which require the LM3481 to operate at very high switching frequencies, thereby reducing the overall solution size The LM3481 switching frequency can be adjusted to any value between 100 kHz and 1 MHz by using an external resistor or synchronized to an external clock. Current mode control provides high bandwidth and transient response except for cycle-by-cycle current limits. The current limit can be programmed with an external resistor.

LM3481 has been built, such as thermal shutdown, short circuit protection and overvoltage protection protection functions. The power-saving shutdown mode reduces the total supply current to 5μA and allows for power sequencing. Internal soft start limits the surge in the starting current.
