While the LM34930 fixed on-time switching regulator features all steps required to achieve low-cost, high-efficiency, buck bias regulators at 1A of load current exceeding supply capability. This high voltage regulator contains an N-channel buck switch in a μSMD collision package. The principle of constant on-time regulation eliminates the need for loops to compensate for fast load transient response, results, and simplifies circuit design. The operating frequency maintains a constant line and load. A smooth transition in the valley, from constant current constant voltage mode when current limit is not detected using current limit to foldback current limit as a result. In order to reduce the valley current limit threshold of the saturation inductor as the possibility of decreasing the input voltage rise, as well as reducing the time when the current limit is detected. Other features include an overvoltage indicator, input overvoltage shutdown, VCC undervoltage lockout, thermal shutdown, and maximum duty cycle limit.
