The LM3503 is a driver for white LED lighting applications. For dual-display backlight applications, the LM3503 provides a complete solution. The LM3503 contains two current bypass FET (field-effect transistor) switches for white LEDs. The white LED current is adjustable from the digital DC voltage filter on the CNTRL pin PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) signal to an analog converter or RC.

With no external compensation, cycle-by-cycle current limiting, output overvoltage protection, input undervoltage protection, and dynamic white LED current control capabilities, the LM3503 offers superior performance over other boost white LED drivers.
