The LM3525 provides a universal serial bus standard power switch for application and overcurrent protection for all host ports. Single-port devices are ideal for one-port power supply for laptop and handheld applications.

A 1 ms fault flag output delay prevents false overcurrent inrush currents caused by reporting hot-swap events.

The LM3525 accepts as a device-based inrush current limiter for 3.3V USB peripherals, as well as a root and 5.5V self-powered hub input voltage between 2.7V and 5.5V allowed to be used. Enable input with simultaneous logic thresholds of 3.3V and 5.0V.

The small size, low R-ON, and 1ms latency fault flag make the LM3525 a good choice for root hubs, as well as power control in conjunction with a self-powered hub that is critical in space.
