illustrate
ADC12V170 is a high-performance CMOS analog-to-digital converter with LVDS output. It is the ability to convert analog input signals to 170 megabits per second (MSPS) when converted to 12 digits. The data leaves the DDR (Dual Data Rate) format chip, which allows the output clock edges of both sides to be utilized while achieving a smaller package size. This converter uses digital error correction and on-chip sampling and hold circuitry to reduce differential power consumption and number of external components, pipeline architecture, while providing excellent dynamic performance. The unique sampling and holding stage produces a full power bandwidth of 1.1 GHz. ADC12V170 operates from dual +3.3 V and +1.8 V supplies and consumes 781 mW of power at 170 MSPS.
A separate +1.8 V digital output interface power supply allows for low-power operation with reduced noise. The power-down feature reduces power consumption by 15 milliwatts while still allowing fast wake-up time to be fully operational. In addition there is a sleep function, which consumes 50 mW of power and has a faster wake-up time.
The differential input provides a comprehensive differential input swing equal to 2x the reference voltage. A stable 1.0V internal reference voltage is supplied, or ADC12V170 can be operated with an external reference.
Pin selectable for clock mode (differential vs. single-ended) and output data format (offset and complement binary with 2). The duty cycle is stable at one input clock and the duty cycle has a wide range of performance.
And ADC12V170 is pin compatible with ADC14V155. It is available in a 48-pin LLP package and operates from a -40°C industrial temperature range to +85°C.
