The LM3525 provides universal serial bus standard power switches for application and overcurrent protection for all host ports. The single-port device is ideal for powering a single port for notebook and PDA applications.

A fault flag output delay of 1 ms prevents false overcurrent inrush currents caused by reporting during hot-plug events.

The LM3525 accepts as a device-based inrush current limiter for 3.3V USB peripherals, as well as allow use with input voltages between 2.7V and 5.5V for root and 5.5V self-powered hubs. Enable inputs with simultaneous logic thresholds of 3.3V and 5.0V.
