illustrate
The LM3555 is a 2 MHz fixed-frequency, current-mode synchronous boost converter that drives or a single Flash at 500 mA or two series LED flash LEDs at 400 mA. The high voltage current source allows the LED termination and ground plane to eliminate the need for additional return traceability to the IC.
Dual-mode control interface, the user can configure a universal use of two control or I-enable pin interface LM3555 2 Comets allow for a higher level of control. These two interfaces allow access to indicators, auxiliary lights, and flash modes. The dedicated strobe pin provides a direct interface to trigger the flash event, while the external flare pin provides an additional method of advantageous LEDs in a constant current mode.
The LM3555 can adapt to the scale maximum flash level to be delivered to the configuration of the LED/time-based LED flash, whether it is a single LED or two LEDs in series.
Eight protection functions, from overvoltage protection, break inductance detection LM3555 provided. The LM3555 has four selectable inductor current limits to help the user select an inductor that is designed to be suitable.
