The LM3561 is a 2 MHz fixed-frequency, current-mode synchronous boost converter. The device is designed to work as a single 600 mA constant current driver for high current white LEDs. The high-side current source allows the LED to operate with a regulatory headroom voltage of 250mV, ensuring that the current of the LED is well regulated and efficient while still being cathodic grounded.
