illustrate
The LM3671 step-down DC-DC converter is optimized for a low-voltage circuit that supplies 2.7V to 5.5V from a single-cell Li-Ion battery and input rail. It can deliver up to 600mA of load current over the entire input voltage range. Several different fixed output voltages are available, as well as an adjustable output voltage version range from 1.1V to 3.3V.
The device offers superior performance and performance in mobile phones and similar portable systems. Intelligent automatic switching between PWM low noise and PFM low current modes provides improved system control. In PWM mode, the device operates at a fixed frequency of 2 MHz (typical). Hysteretic PFM mode extends battery life and reduces quiescent current by 16μA (typical) at light load and standby. Internal synchronous rectification provides high efficiency during PWM mode operation. In shutdown mode, the device shuts down and power consumption is reduced to 0.01μA (typical).
The LM3671 is a version of lead (PB) and lead (NO PB) in SOT23-5 packages, tiny 5-ball micro SMD and 6-pin LLP packages. A high switching frequency of 2 MHz (typical) allows the use of tiny surface mount components. Only three external surface mount components, an inductor and two ceramic capacitors, are required.
