The LM3743 is a DC-DC voltage mode PWM buck controller with synchronous rectification at 300 kHz or 1 MHz. It can provide high current up to 20A and step down from 0.8V between 3V and 5.5V to an internal reference accuracy of ± 1.75% with an input voltage drop. The LM3743 provides a comprehensive set of faults such as high-side current limiting, output undervoltage protection, and low-side current limit protection. When these fail-safe functions, wherever engaged, it goes into hiccup mode, which is suitable for protecting rack high-reliability systems such as the installation of servers and telecom base station subsystems. The LM3743 also features a proprietary monolithic glitch-free pre-bias start method, ideal for FPGA and ASIC logic devices. Externally programmable soft start allows for tracking and time flexibility. The driver has a pull-up resistor and pull-down, high power density and efficiency, and very high power handling drive resistance of 1Ω to 1.6Ω.
