The LM3743 is a DC-DC voltage mode PWM buck controller with synchronous rectification of 300 kHz or 1 MHz. It can deliver high currents up to 20A and step down from 0.8V between 3V and 5.5V to a minimum output voltage of ± 1.75% internal reference accuracy with input voltage drop. The LM3743 provides a comprehensive fault set such as high-side current limit, output undervoltage protection, and low-side current limit protection. When any of these failsafe features are engaged, it goes into hiccup mode, which is suitable for installing servers and telecom base station subsystems for protection such as rack high reliability systems. The LM3743 also features a proprietary monolithic glitch-free prebias start-up method, making it ideal for FPGA and ASIC logic devices. An externally programmable soft-start allows for tracking and timing flexibility. The driver has a pull-up resistor and a pull-down type with high power density and very high efficiency, and the power handling drive resistance is 1Ω 1.6Ω.
