The LM3880 power sequencer provides the easiest way to control the drop of multiple power supplies (switchers or linear regulators) for power and power-down. With amazing startup sequences, it is possible to avoid latch-up conditions or large inrush currents that may affect the reliability of the system.

In the SOT23-6 package, the power sequencer contains a precision enable pin and three open-drain output flags. The three output flags after the LM3880 is enabled will be released sequentially, allowing the connected power supply to start after an individual time delay. The output flags are powered off in reverse order to avoid latch-up conditions.

EPROM capability makes each delay and sequence fully adjustable. National Semiconductor contacts if a non-standard configuration is required.
