LM48556 is a single-powered, mono-channel ceramic speaker driver with an integrated charge pump, specially designed for portable devices such as mobile phones and limited circuit board space. LM48556 charge pumps allow the device to supply 17.5V PP (typical) from a single 4.5V power supply. Additionally, the charge pump features a soft-start function to minimize transient currents when energized.

LM48556 high-power power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) is 80dB at 217Hz, allowing the device to operate in noisy environments without additional power supply regulation. Flexible power requirements allow operation from 2.7V to 5.0V. Additionally, LM48556 uses differential input functionality and external configuration gain. The low-power shutdown mode consumes the power supply current to 0.1μA.

Advanced click suppression eliminates transient noise heard when power-up/down and off. LM48556 is packaged in an ultra-compact 12-ball micro SMD package (2mm x 1.5mm).
