The LM48580 is a fully differential, high voltage driven ceramic speaker for piezoelectric actuators and portable multimedia devices. Part of National Semiconductor's PowerWise product line, the LM48580's H-class architecture provides significant power savings over traditional Class AB amplifiers. The device is available at 30Vof PPOutput driver while consuming only 15mW of quiescent power.
The LM48580 is a single-supply driver, an integrated boost converter, which allows the device to be sourced from a single 3.6V power supply30V availableof PP.
The LM48580 has three pin-programmable gain settings and a low-power shutdown mode that reduces quiescent current consumption to 0.1μA. The LM48580 is available in an ultra-small 12-ball micro SMD package (1.46mm x 1.97mm).
