The unity-gain stable LM4916 is both a mono differential output (bridged load or BTL) audio amplifier and a single-ended (SE) stereo headphone amplifier. Operating from a single 1.5V supply, 8 85mW in mono BTL mode is provided Load at 1% THD + N. In single-ended stereo headphone mode, the amplifier solution can be 16 to 14MW per channel Load at 1% THD + N.

With the LM4916 packaging in MM and LLP packages, customer benefits include low profile and small size. These software packages reduce PCB area and maximize output power.

The LM4916 features circuitry that reduces device output transients ("click" and snap") to turn on and off, externally controlled low-power, active-low shutdown mode, and thermal shutdown. Boomer audio power amplifiers are designed to use very few external components and are available in surface mount packages with high quality output power.
