The LM4982 is a referenced, variable gain audio power amplifier capable of delivering a continuous average power of 16 to 80MW ground Single-ended load has a THD+N of less than 1% from a 3V supply. TheI2C volume control allows for gain settings from 18 to -76 dB.

The LM4982 uses advanced charge pump technology to generate the LM4982 negative supply voltage. This eliminates the need for output-coupled capacitors typically used for single-ended loads.

IntelliSense is a new circuit technology that enables the LM4982 to detect if a mono or stereo headphone plug is plugged into the output jack.

Boomer audio power amplifiers are designed to provide high-quality output power with very few external components. The LM4982 does not require an output coupling capacitor or a starter capacitor, making it ideal for use in mobile phones and other low-voltage applications where minimal power consumption is a major requirement.

The LM4982 features selectable low-power shutdown and channel selection modes.

The LM4982 includes advanced POP and click-and-click noise cancellation circuitry that would otherwise occur in the on- and off-conversion process.
