The LM5000 is a monolithic integrated circuit specifically designed and optimized for flyback, boost or forward power converter applications. The internal power switch is rated up to 80V and is set to a 2A current limit. Protects the current limit and thermal shutdown circuitry of the power switch. The current-mode control scheme provides excellent suppression of line transients and cycle-by-cycle current limiting. An external compensation pin and built-in ramp compensation allow the user to optimize frequency compensation. Other features include soft-start to reduce external pressure on the remote shutdown pin of start-up and on/off control. There are two operating frequency ranges. And LM5000 - 3-pin or 300kHz (FS ground) or 700kHz (FS on) options. And LM5000 - 6-pin or 600kHz (FS ground) or 1.3MHz (FS on) options. The device is available in a low-profile 16-pin TSSOP package or a thermally enhanced 16-lead LLP package.
