The LM5002 high voltage switch-mode regulator provides all the necessary functions to achieve high efficiency output voltage boost, flyback, SEPIC and forward converters using few external components. This easy-to-use regulator integrates an N-channel MOSFET with a peak current limit of 0.5 amps to 75 volts. Current-mode control provides inherent simple loop compensation and superior input transient suppression line voltage feedforward. The switching frequency is programmable up to 1.5MHz with a single resistor. The oscillator can also be synchronized to an external clock. Other protection features include current limit, thermal shutdown, undervoltage lockout, and remote shutdown. The device is available in two SO-8 and LLP-8 packages.
