The LM5002 High Voltage Switched-Mode Regulator provides all the necessary features to achieve efficient output voltage boost, flyback, SEPIC and forward converters using few external components. This easy-to-use regulator integrates an N-channel MOSFET with a 0.5 amp peak current limit of 75 volts. Current mode control provides inherently simple loop compensation and superior input transient suppression line voltage feedforward. Programmable switching frequency up to 1.5MHz with a single resistor. The oscillator can also be synchronized to an external clock. Other protection features include current limiting, overheat shutdown, undervoltage lockout, and remote shutdown capabilities. The device is available in two SO-8 and LLP-8 packages.
