The function of this switching regulator LM5007 steps all the functions required to achieve a low-cost, high-efficiency, step-down bias regulator. This high voltage regulator contains an 80 V, 0.7 A N-channel buck switch. The device is easy to apply and is available in MSOP-8 and thermally enhanced LLP-8 packages. The regulator is based on hysteresis control inversely proportional to the time of use, V IN plan. This feature allows for operating frequencies to keep the relative load and input voltage constantly changing. Hysteresis control, eliminating the need for control loop compensation while providing very fast load transient response. One is to realize that the shutdown time of the LM5007 is inversely proportional to V OUT. This current limit plan reduces load current foldback. Other protection features include: thermal shutdown, VCC undervoltage lockout, gate drive undervoltage lockout, and maximum duty cycle limiting
