The steps of the LM5010A switching regulator are an enhanced version of the LM5010 with an extended input operating range of 6V minimum. The LM5010A features all the functions needed to implement a low-cost, high-efficiency, step-down regulator capable of delivering more than 1A of load current. Such a high voltage regulator integrates an N-channel buck switch and is available in LLP-10 and TSSOP-14EP packages for enhanced heat dissipation. The constant on-time remediation scheme eliminates the need for loop compensation, fast load transient response, and simplified circuit implementation. Changes in operating frequency, line and load remain unchanged due to the inverse relationship between input voltage and time. The valley current limit detection is set at 1.25A. Other features include VCC undervoltage lockout, thermal shutdown gate voltage drive, lockout, and maximum duty cycle limit.
